How do you set the aperture on a pentax 35mm film camera when using a Tamron lens?
Question by alicia b: How do you set the aperture on a pentax 35mm film camera when using a Tamron lens?
It’s a Pentax ZX-M and the lens is a Tamron 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6. I don’t know how to set the aperture. I’m trying to do shallow DOF and great DOF, but when I set the aperture and move the zoom, the aperture changes.
what else do you guys need to know?

Canon 35mm f1.4 vs Sigma 30mm f1.4 head to head – DSLR FILM NOOB

www.dslrfilmnoob.com I often recommend the Sigma 30mm f1.4 as a good crop sensor camera lens for people on a budget. But how does it stack up against the Canon 35mm f1.4 lens. At around 00 to 00 new, the Canon 35mm f1.4 lens is a big investment, so much so, that I often recommend saving that money and buying 3 mid range primes instead. The Sigma 30mm f1.4 on the other hand runs about a 3rd the price at around 0. So is the price difference worth it? I think that depends on your mind set. The Canon 35mm f1.4 looked better (to me) in many of the shots as far as over all sharpness is concerned and the sigma 30mm f1.4 did have some slight vignetting in a few of the shots. But I guess the question remains, is the Canon 35mm f1.4 0 better then the sigma 30mm f1.4? I think you will probably have to vote with your dollar. Take a look at the footage and decide which lens works best for your budget. If you’ve made your choice, You can pick up the Canon 35mm f1.4 here: www.amazon.com And the Sigma 30mm f1.4 here: www.amazon.com Equipment used in this video: Canon 7d and t2i Canon 35mm f1.4 Sigma 30mm f1.4 Sigma 24mm f1.8 CPM FILM TOOLS Rig Sennheiser G2 wireless mic Flowers & a Bass Guitar
Hi again! Earlier this year, I went to California in USA, and brought with me my Canon EOS 550D/rebel t2i. I didn’t want to carry around a lot of lenses on my vacation, so I borrowed my friends Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-4.5 with an image stabilization. I used only this lens for the whole trip, and it worked very well. For shooting documentations, vacation videos, travel videos and so, without spending to much money, the Canon 550D with a Sigma 18-200mm lens is perfect. I shot the whole video handheld, and since this lens has image stabilization, it prevented me from getting very shaky footage (unfortunately I forgot to turn it on sometimes in this video). And since it can shoot 18-200mm it’s great for shooting both tele shots and wide angle shots. I hope you enjoy the video, and don’t forget to subscribe and/or follow me at www.facebook.com =)
