Not at all really suited for macro photography, but for other uses this will make do until I choose a new DSLR!
Wish I had bought the matt-black as the gloss white is quite slippy. The battery life is poor, the mode dial doesn’t stay in play when its in your pocket, and the zoom toggle switch became loose after 5 days use on holiday!

The new lens is priced at 99.99 and can be purchased from Allen’s Camera 215.547.2841 tell him the Fro sent you. I got to unbox, sniff test and take sample images with this lens. It is built extremely well as you would expect from any new PRO piece of glass. When it comes to testing out equipment some people take it way to far, they shoot charts and extreme crops of files to see if they see any defects. I am more into getting the good glass and using it for what I bought it for, to capture great images. These camera companies are not going to put out crap lenses just to put them out. Just bought JJC RN-DC58B from ebay and wanted to share how it works with filter or/and lens kit for G12 since I couldn’t find similar video on the web. Decide on JJC as Canon FA-DC58B is out of my budget but happy with the purchase
