Which Canon lens should i choose for video?

Question by yoillist: Which Canon lens should i choose for video?
I have a music video shoot soon and I own a Canon T2i. I already have the 50mm 1.8 and the 10-22mm 3.5-4.5. For my 3rd lens I am still debating whether to get the 17-55mm 2.8 or the 24-70mm 2.8. Keep in mind this is for a music video, so what do you think?
Sorry i forgot to mention that all of them except the 50mm are rentals lol.

i’d say the 24-70mm so if you ever wanted to upgrade in the future, you can still use that lens

of course, best would be to get a video camera for that $ 1000+ you spend on a lens

Should you use zoom lenses for DSLR filming? -DSLR Film NOOB

www.dslrfilmnoob.com I don’t recommend using zoom lenses for filming unless the zoom covers a focal length that is hard to find or not available. Two such focal lengths are covered by the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 and the canon 16-35mm f2.8. I’ve already done a review on the tokina 11-16mm, but i thought it might be nice to compare the Canon 16-35mm f2.8 and the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. The Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 is a budget zoom that you can pick up for around 0. http The Canon 16-35mm f2.8 is a ruffly twice that price: rcm.amazon.com The benefits of using a nicer Zoom can be seen in the full time manual focus, the longer travel of the focus ring, the stationary barrel, and the smooth operation of the zoom. These are all very nice to have but 0 in your pocket might help you forget about many of these short comings. Other zooms in my collection include the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8: rcm.amazon.com And the canon 24-70mm f2.8: rcm.amazon.com Although i don’t generally use these last 2 lenses for filming, they are great for photography. If you must use a Zoom lens for filming make sure it is a constant F-stop across all focal lengths or your lens will automatically stop down as you zoom causing unwanted color changes and dimming of your video image. Q&A: How much should I pay for a Yashica Electro 35 in mint condition?

Question by montparnass: How much should I pay for a Yashica Electro 35 in mint condition?
From the garage next door to eBay and local lists, the price range seems to be bigger than I expected, from $ 10.00 to $ 75.00! Obviously the pricier it gets, the better its condition… But I’m not sure about the REAL price for my next toy…
Can you help me please?
Note: I’m taking in all cases about a camera in great condition -body, lens, case, etc…-

Should I start my own business in photography?

Question by Little A: Should I start my own business in photography?
I work at a portrait studio now and have been in photography for the last 8 years, part of me wants to go to school and learn enough about photography and how to run a small business. The other part is worried that photography is a dying business with so many people doing their own photography with digital cameras & photoshop. Is it worth all that school ,money & time?
